| XP SP3 Slipstream with TPC media? Are there any changes to the TPC bits on disc 2 of the media in SP3? Can I just slipstream disc 1 and continue to use existing volume keys? Is there going to be an official SP3 integrated TPC disc set release, I wonder since sometime very soon XP is going to disappear of volume download it seems. Thanks. Brian Hoyt |

| Re: XP SP3 Slipstream with TPC media? XP SP3 are your speaking about? In that case, changes were made only to the Operating System. There were no changes (updates/upgrades) to the Tablet PC Edition, nor will there be in the future. Now, the delivery method may be different, so it might be good to contact your Microsoft account representative and ask them - or just try it and see if it works. -- Chris H. | Re: XP SP3 Slipstream with TPC media? Yes XP SP3. I just wanted to double check that nothing on disc 2 of TPC install set had changed and thus requiring getting a new set from VL. As soon as I can get a RTW SP3 I certainly will be trying. Thanks. | Re: XP SP3 Slipstream with TPC media? When you unpack the SP3 files you find a folder \i386\root\cmpnents\tabletpc\i386. There you find many updated components. Unfortunatly I have no official information about how to create slipstream media for Tablet PC. Safest would be to immediatly install SP3 after a clean install of XP Tablet PC 2005. If you want to try out yourself, you may copy the content of CD1 and CD2 into one folder and then integrate SP3 into it. That's what I will try sometime next week. | Re: XP SP3 Slipstream with TPC media? LOL! You and I voluntarily support users - our peers - in these public newsgroups without compensation, and when there's a problem we generally try to assist. However, the volume licensing is a special section and the account manager from Microsoft should be involved in the solution process. That's what they're paid to do - keep the customers happy and the company's computers functional. -- Chris H.
