| Arabic I intend to purchase Fujitsu Stylistic ST5010D (Tablet PC). They include in the option the purchase of Windows XP and Office XP. I need however Window XP (Arabic) and Office XP (Arabic) plus Tablet PC (English). What to do? Do all those above the application work together? Should I decline the purchase from the Tablet PC manufacturer and purchase all three application from Microsoft Middle East ? |

| Re: Arabic You cannot purchase the Tablet PC OS operating system separately. You should be able to partition and add Office and Windows separately if you have to have them in Arabic. -- Terri Stratton Microsoft Windows MVP / Tablet PC http://thetabletpc.net Expert Zone - http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/default.asp "Gray Bowlerhat" <Gray Bowlerhat@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4673FB9E-1EC4-4E7E-AF43-F31014692813@microsoft.com... >I intend to purchase Fujitsu Stylistic ST5010D (Tablet PC). > They include in the option the purchase of Windows XP and Office XP. > I need however Window XP (Arabic) and Office XP (Arabic) plus Tablet PC > (English). > > What to do? > Do all those above the application work together? > Should I decline the purchase from the Tablet PC manufacturer and purchase > all three application from Microsoft Middle East ? |

The Tablet PC operating system is a superset of Windows XP Pro and will always be supplied with a Tablet by your OEM. I don't know of any issues with Arabic Office and Tablet OS but you should be aiming for Office 2003 (Arabic) for optimal pen/ink support. Office 2003 succeeds Office XP. > Should I decline the purchase from the Tablet PC manufacturer and purchase all three application from Microsoft Middle East ? See if Fujitsu will supply you with a Tablet that includes that, or one that does not include Office so that you can purchase your own. |

| Re: Arabic Did you install the MUIRP before installing the Lonestar (Tablet PC Edition 2005) beta version? | Re: Arabic this is direct quote from the website Enhanced language support and recognition tools. The MUIRP provides support for several new languages. Users can operate the text interface in Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, in addition to the seven languages originally released for the Tablet PC. A handwriting recognizer is now available for Iberian Spanish in addition to those for English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. A new speech recognizer is available for Traditional Chinese in addition to those for English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. " it does not say a word about hebrew or russian and yes I did install it just in case I installed the british english "Chris H." wrote: > Did you install the MUIRP before installing the Lonestar (Tablet PC Edition > 2005) beta version?
