XP Tablet Compatibility

I am looking at getting an xp tablet device. I have a mobile scanner that is
xp approved, but not xp tablet approved. The manufacturer will not tell me
if the device will work as they have not "tested" it on XP table. Any
thoughts out there if I should trust that the scanner will work or not? Thx.

Re: XP Tablet Compatibility

There should be no problems with the scanner as it has nothing to do
with the pen input extensions... in general anything that works on XP
should work on an XP tablet.

There have been some reports of custom software that had issues with the
tablet os, but they are the exception.

I have had zero problems with a number of usb devices including scanners
and hid devices.

Re: XP Tablet Compatibility

The Tablet PCs of that version run an operating system of Windows XP Pro,
and the Tablet bits are a "superset" running on top of Windows XP Pro. You
should have no issue at all.
