| Converting French install to English Is there any way to change a french installation of Windows XP Tablet Edition to English? I tried changing the regional language settings to English and some things converted but most did not, and windows itself is still french. Is Re-installing windows my only option? |

| Re: Converting French install to English No. You would need to contact the manufacturer of your Tablet PC to see if they would trade with you or sell you a French version. -- Chris H. | Re: Converting French install to English Many posts here have underscored the fact that the tablet versions of xp and vista os' are specific to each device and intolerant to any "normal" updates such as re-installations of other versions of the os... i.e. the tablet extensions and utilities can't be added to the os by design and the pen drivers are very machine specific and often hard to find. As in the original response, check with the computer vendor as they will have the path of least pain even if there is a price attached. Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

| Re: Converting French install to English Sorry, I think I reversed the languages you wanted. You still would need to go through the retail source of your Tablet PC to change/exchange the language version for the Tablet. If they can supply you with the right one, you would have the proper setup for your machine. -- Chris H.
