| "Start Inking" button in Word 2007 Not responding I have the following problem with Word on my tablet PC: When I open some .docx files (usually ones I get from students, though this happened with some of mine, though I cannot reproduce the effect), and try to "Start Inking", the button appears to be pushed, but the Pens ribbon does not come up, and the cursor does not change into an ink cursor, but stays as an I-bar. No matter what I do I cannot get the darn think to let me ink. I have found that if I save as a Word 2003 .doc I can ink in that, or if I save as a 2003 .doc and then immediately resave as a 2007 .docx I can ink in that. Interestingly, if I select all, copy, and paste into a new docx, I cannot ink. But, if I ink in a new docx, then paste, I can ink. I would really love some explanation, and a workaround/fix easier than having to resave (twice) or copy-ink-paste... Any help appreciated! Paul |
