Hi,
I'm wondering when Vista is going to release an upgrade so more native
languages can benefit from pen recognitions.
For example my native language is Swedish and Swedish pen recognitions are
not supported in the Swedish version of Vista.


This is the ONLY reason I haven't yet bought a tablet-pc with Vista software !

Microsoft has made no announcement about additional language conversions for
handwriting recognition. It takes years to develop handwriting recognition
packs. The original on English took something like in excess of eight
years. There are some third-party applications which support Swedish, like
Pen Office (http://www.phatware.com/penoffice/index.html) but I'm not sure
they're compatible with Vista.

Yes, that came out in March, 2005. But it should be noted the Windows XP
Tablet PC Edition Recognizer Pack is only for versions of the Tablet PC
Edition on Windows XP, and is unnecessary on Windows Vista version with
Tablet PC functionalities already built in. Those contain the recognizers
natively.
