| Acer C110 LCD Cracked Well a few days ago, I woke up to find my Acer C110 LCD had cracked for no apparent reason. It had been on standby all night. I've used it for almost a year without any problems at all. I understand this is a very rare occurrence for LCDs (to break without any sudden temperature change or force) but this is the 2nd time that it's happened to me. (Happened about a year ago to my Toshiba 3505.) So definitely I'll be getting an accidental damage plan on my next purchase. But my question is, has anyone else experienced this? Am I just a really really unlucky person? I'm a software developer so I don't put nearly as much wear and tear (from moving around) on my tablet as most people would. I do use it alot though. 10+ hours per day, every day. | Re: Acer C110 LCD Cracked Hi Josh, To be honest I haven't seen this with my C102 or C300 which I use daily. I suggest that you talk to Acer about a repair. I do not know if it is covered under the warranty. -- Chris De Herrera http://www.cewindows.net http://www.tabletpctalk.com "Josh Einstein" <josheinstein********.com> wrote in message news:eNRo%236kREHA.252@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... > Well a few days ago, I woke up to find my Acer C110 LCD had cracked for no > apparent reason. | Acer C110 LCD Cracked I've had my Toshiba M205 S810 now for around 6 months and havn't had any troubles at all. I do not use my system for 10+ hours per day however :) WOW That would be a mind knumbing experience for me :) I'm very sorry you've had such terrible experiences with your systems. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with extended warranties (accidental breakage..etc), especially with relatively new technologies such as the tablet pc. I always get one myself. | Re: Acer C110 LCD Cracked I doubt that duration is a factor. I have been using my Fujitsu 4110 extensively for over a year and a half, leaving it open and working for 15+ hr periods (plugged/unplugged). The expected wear and tear does appear, but in trivial places in the casing. So far, I had no problems With the display. You may be the victim of Some Unusual combination of environmental Conditions. Perhaps you Should check with your neighbors. Avner. Lonnie wrote: > I've had my Toshiba M205 S810 now for around 6 months and > havn't had any troubles at all.
