tc1100

my pc tablet just displayed this message. Windows/system32/config/system

It says that I should put in the windows setup cd. I don't have that. Can I
download it? where? Will i lose my files on the tablet? Is theer something
else I can do to get my documents that I saved? Please help.

Your registry is corrupted. You might be able to recover with a
Windows CD by doing either a repair install, or by poking around in
the recovery console.

Try using a Restore Point from System Restore. You can find details by
going into Help off the Start Menu and putting in "system restore." If this
started "today," use "yesterday's" Restore Point and you should be fine.

A restore point won't fix it because Windows will not boot with that
error. It hits the corrupted SYSTEM registry hive and stops loading.
