I have a Lenovo IBM Thinkpad Tablet PC X60 with Windows Tablet PC Edition
2005 version 2002 with SP2. Whenever I try to join this machine to the domain
I get the followring error message:

The error was: "DNS name does not exist."
(error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.infolinksa

Common causes of this error include the following:

- The DNS SRV record is not registered in DNS.

I know this seems like a DNS error but I have set the DNS ip addresses
correctly and I have not seen this error on any other computers I've worked
with.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

I had the sam issue with my tablets as well. What I had figured out was to
set my DNS servers IP address's to the first 2 then the ISP's afterwards.
this resolved the issue for me.
