Tablet PC for sketching

Hi , I am looking for a Tablet for sketching using Photoshop or painter software. Are there Tablets out there that have pressure sensitivity like a Wacom?

The Wacom tablets are too big and not portable.

Even a 256 level of pressure is sufficient.

Appriciate any input from users

Yes, Tablet PCs with that use Wacom digitizer and Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, such as the Toshiba Portege M200, Electrovaya Scribbler SC2010, Acer TravelMate C300, etc have pressure sensitivity.

Since you are interested in drawing, you might also want to check out software designed for Tablet PCs by Alias called SketchBook Pro and Ambient Designs ArtRage. You can also use Photoshop and other paint style apps.

Also, Wacom's Penabled Driver driver for Penabled Tablet PCs is located at http://www.wacom.com/tabletpc/index.cfm

Add the ViewSonic V1250 to that.
Silly me, I wasn't even expecting it. I got a delightful surprise
when I started pressing harder in the trial version of Alias
SketchBook Pro 1.0, which came on the V1250.

Hi Garry,

Isn't it annoying defining the brushes in Paintshop all the time? I
tried Paintshop with my Portege 3500 andpainted two pictures but I
needed more time to set some brushes than actually drawing.

How do you (and Lora) work with a Tablet and Photoshop?

Thanks.
