Cursor appears in two places

Hi,

I am running Microsoft Windows XP Professional, V5.1.2600 serivce Pack - 2
on a Lenovo (IBM ThinkPad) X60 on a corporate netork.

When I use my pen, most times it shows two pointers one an inch away from
the other. when I write it seems ot switch between the two, meaning letters
in my words do not appear on the same line.

I have run calibration a number of times (although sometimes this program
freezes) and it has not helped.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

If you're on a Corporate notebook, I would be taking it to your IT
department and asking that they fix it. Either their install is faulty in
some way, or you've got a bad unit. Let the people who prepared the unit
correct it for you. Having someone from the outside attempt to fix it
wouldn't be good.

Re: Cursor appears in two places

Is this a multi-touch version? The one that has a touch screen as well as an
electromagnetic digitizer for the pen?

It almost sounds like Windows is "seeing" two different tablet devices. You
might be able to remove all the digitizers from device manager, then reboot
the computer and let Windows re-add them. Or it could be faulty hardware.
The touch screen is supposed to disengage when the pen comes within range.

Re: Cursor appears in two places

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your advice I have done what you advised and they have fixed the
problem. Apparently problems connected with conflicts between our corpoate
platform and the PC.

Excellent. They know how their equipment needs to run, that's why I
suggested you go back through them. Glad it is working properly now.
