| Re: Add Tablet Edition to Windows XP >> Does anybody know if it is possible to install the Tabled Editon "extentions" to this usual Windows XP? << Short answer, yes and no ;-/ There are some options with XP Pro, and, surprisingly, the answers lie in the windows help file by searching on "handwriting" and "ink" In addition to showing how to "turn on" the handwriting features, there were url's for downloading the components referenced which were not part of the xppro os. A couple of years ago, I set up the handwriting extensions on my xppro desktop using an external pen tablet and was able to experiment and test a number of tablet features, but it was far from ideal. In addition, some of the tablet specific os features such as the tip, windows journal, etc, were not available. Information on exactly what your goal is would help give better answers. | Re: Add Tablet Edition to Windows XP The Tablet PC Edition (Windows XP SP2 version) is only available commercially via an OEM disk with a Tablet PC or through a Microsoft Developer Network subscription. I'd say if you want the full Tablet PC functionalities, and you PC can do it, go for Windows Vista. The Home Premium, Business and Ultimate versions all have Tablet PC support built in. -- Chris H. | Re: Add Tablet Edition to Windows XP Stick with Chris's recommendation. Butchering your XP installation with hacks to install the tablet components is not only piracy (unless you have a legitimate license of the Tablet PC Edition) but it's quite likely that you could hose your system in the process. Vista no longer has a separate tablet edition. -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "Michael M" <MichaelM@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7FBFDE84-065B-4906-BDED-C3CBD16E2123@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I have a PC installed with usual Windows XP/SP2.
