| Strange problem with Java on Toshiba M205 Hi, I have successfully installed the RC1 of SP2 on my Toshiba (also got a Ghost Image of the pre-sp2 HD, thanks to Terri's suggestion)... While I was going thru the system and testing out everything, I found that my system will Blue Screen (0x1000050) everytime I try the <Java Plug-in> Icon in the Control Panel. And any attempt to uninstall it will cause the system to blue screen too. And so do my attempt to update it with the current Java Desktop Runtime. My system has MS-JVM installed also (via Visual Studio 6, and with current Windows Update). Anyway, late last night, I finally was able to uninstall it. The only different in this new attempt was that I had my Toshiba in Laptop mode (i.e. not folded over and in Portrait mode). I am wondering if anyone has similar experience. I want to pinpoint the problem and file a bug report. But if the problem is with Sun's Java, or NVidia, I don't want to bother with Microsoft SP2 bug report then.. Thanks, Alex |

| Re: Strange problem with Java on Toshiba M205 My M200 has both MS Java (3810) as well as the Sun java (version 1.4.2.04) and regardless of which is active, I have no problems with the java control panel applet. I'm running SP2 on the tablet, build 2120..
