Dutch Handwriting/Speech support in Windows XP TabletPC Edition 20

Hi,

Is there any change that Dutch Handwriting/Speech recognition becomes
availabe for the 2005 Edition?

I won't "upgrade" to Windows Vista Tablet Edition for obvious reasons, but
mainly because my 2002-built NEC T400 PIII 512MB TabletPC does not meet the
minimal hardware requirements.

Thanks for your reply!

Regards,

Martijn.

Re: Dutch Handwriting/Speech support in Windows XP TabletPC Edition 20

Haven't heard anything from Microsoft about adding Dutch to the recognizer
pack for your version, but you might check out the offerings here:
http://www.penreader.com/tablet-pc-s...8-lingual.html You can also
check the Ablet Factory (www.abletfactory.com) where Tablet PC MVP Fritz
Switzer has done a lot of work with various languages.

As to Microsoft adding Dutch support at some point, I would not expect it.
They've gone on to the Vista realm now, and any future updates to Windows XP
(the operating system on which the Tablet PC Edition 2005 resides) will be
only fixes, not add-ons.
