| New Tablet User - General and Specific Questions I'm new to tablets and have a new Lenovo X60. I am trying to find the best sources of general information. For example, what are the best sites/locations to go to for information (besides this community?!?). Specific question: I'm using the MS Journal function, but am surprised to find that I can't link/associate/drag-drop my journal entry to an Outlook calendar entry (for example when taking meeting minutes). If I can't do this with MS Journal and MS Outlook, are there other tools/apps that I can purchase that will do this? Thanks, Jon |

| Re: New Tablet User - General and Specific Questions imho, specific questions to tablet oriented forums are the best way to get through the startup curve... sorry, don't use outlook so I can't answer but would assume that the reason is that the journal entry is graphic and the event expects text only... if not that, expecting a different graphic form. You might look at OneNote as that is the ink app which is being presented as a compatible office component. Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

| Re: New Tablet User - General and Specific Questions Thanks Beverly. I've been looking at OneNote to see if it does what I want. | Re: New Tablet User - General and Specific Questions Thanks Kevin. I've posted a question on their forums to see if the product works with Outlook 2002 SP3. | Re: New Tablet User - General and Specific Questions Hi John. I've been meaning to either shut down that forum or post a message stating that I don't get to check it often. The forum software isn't really that good and some time ago DNS problems made it so that I can't get notifications when new threads are posted and since most of the questions come through email, I just got out of the habit of checking it. But ironically, I saw your post here first so I'll answer it here then also go back to the forum to answer it there. TEO 3.0 requires Outlook 2003 due to the fact that the Outlook 2002 object model guard is practically impossible to work around in 2002 (that's the thing that pops up those messages that another application is trying to access Outlook...) However, I have recently invested in a third party product that will allow me to avoid those prompts and possibly bring back support for Outlook 2002. In the meantime you are free to download it and give it a try. It may work but you will probably have to click the "don't show this again for x minutes" check box every now and then. But anyway, TEO does pretty much what you are asking about. It adds an Outlook Journal form (and forms for appointments, contacts, and tasks) that have very similar functionality to Windows Journal and stores the document right in the item. -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "Valid8r" <Valid8r@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:363E8404-7383-40F0-99B2-DFCA46276755@microsoft.com... > Thanks Kevin.
