| The Operation Failed when emailing from Windows Journal I have a Lenovo X60t, Windows XP Tablet, Outlook 2003 working off of an Exchange Server 2003. When I'm in a file in Windows Journal and I click on "Send to mail recipient", more often than not (in fact most of the time) it now says "The operation failed". It never did this before. Any thoughts on this? |

| Re: The Operation Failed when emailing from Windows Journal Typically happens when Outlook.exe is still open from a previous session that you believe to be closed. This can happen for many reasons but most of the time it's because of a faulty add-in. You can grab a utility called "KnockOut" (just a simple .exe that you run and it sits in your taskbar) that will notify you when Outlook is *really* open or closed. In the meantime however, when you get this message, check the task manager (CTL+ALT+DEL) and make sure that any instances of Outlook.exe are gone. Troubleshooting which addin is causing the problem may be time consuming however. Usually you just have to disable them one by one and try it. But some addins don't exhibit the problem until after some time of use. http://sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout/ -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "hairymon" <hairymon@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C85E1039-97B5-436C-B1DE-084A5BA72D6F@microsoft.com... >I have a Lenovo X60t, Windows XP Tablet, Outlook 2003 working off of an > Exchange Server 2003. > > When I'm in a file in Windows Journal and I click on "Send to mail > recipient", more often than not (in fact most of the time) it now says > "The > operation failed".
