| Map Tablet PC Input Panel Button Not sure if this should be in Tablet or UMPC, but here is the question: I have just purchased a Samsung Q1 which is running Windows XP Tablet 2005 SP2, and I am trying to map the Tablet PC Input Panel Button to one of the menu buttons on the Q1. I have searched everything that I could for the dll, exe or button combo to allow this to happen, to no avail. Anything you could give would be greatly appreciated. For some background, the reason I need to map this function to a button, is that we are loading Citrix on boot, full screen, and getting to the TIP button is impossible without an external keyboard. Thanks for your help! ~Andy B |

| Re: Map Tablet PC Input Panel Button One problem you'll run into with that is that bringing up the TIP that way will require it to be docked which will take up valuable screen real-estate on an already constrained device. The only way to get the TIP to float is to bring it up in-place. You might try a utility called floattip. You would have to search Google for it as I'm not sure off hand where to find it. -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "KamanCorp" <amb-corp@kaman.com> wrote in message news:KamanCorp.2xxrpj@no-mx.tabletquestions.com... > > Not sure if this should be in Tablet or UMPC, but here is the question: > > I have just purchased a Samsung Q1 which is running Windows XP Tablet > 2005 SP2, and I am trying to map the Tablet PC Input Panel Button to one > of the menu buttons on the Q1. > > I have searched everything that I could for the dll, exe or button > combo to allow this to happen, to no avail. | Re: Map Tablet PC Input Panel Button I have come up with a not so elegant solution, that works for now. On the Q1, I have mapped the U1 button to Alt+F1, which breaks Citrix out of full screen and brings show the Start Bar from Windows. This allows me to press the TIP button. As soon as I do anything within the Citrix window, it goes back to full screen leaving the TIP window hovering and useable within Citrix. It will work for now, since this is a proof of concept, but as time permits I will definitely be digging into it more. Thanks for your suggestions. I will definitely be looking into the TIP float app. ~Andy B |
