Product recovery disc damaged

The recovery disc is damaged , It proceeded to wipe all of the files , format
and then hang up, I tried it a couple of times and now it wont boot.
Can anyone advise where I could get a new XP Tablet edition disc please.
I have my codes etc.

Re: Product recovery disc damaged

The best bet is from the oem... especially since their disk appears to
be the one that crashed... either vended or created by that mfg's disk
creation process.

Further, laptop built in devices can be very picky about their drivers,
so, starting with them is always a better bet... for example, you are
going to need all of the tablet devices plus the screen to be working
properly before any of the tablet functions will work.

Finally, there is no "tablet edition" of windows available... you can
build the tablet extensions into a standard XPPro install by what's
available will all XPPro installs plus some downloadable components...
again assuming the pen/tablet devices are working... starting place is
start/help using the keyword "handwriting"

Re: Product recovery disc damaged

Also suggest trying the recovery disk in another cd drive... perhaps
attempting to generate a new diskcopy... sometimes track differences
will create a hang in one drive but work on another.
