Looking for tablet stand...?

Hello,

My Tablet is my second computer. I keep track of all my work on it. It would be great if I could find a stand for it so I could have it next to my dell laptop in tablet mode and be able to update my lists and calendars and such.

I have the gateway m275, so its a bigger one (14.1")...

Does anyone know of anything like this available, or anyway to improvise?

Thanks so much,
Lori

Re: Looking for tablet stand...?

Hi, Lori,

This may sound a bit strange, but if you look for one of the plate stands
sold in many department stores, you may find one large enough to work with
the Gateway when it's in slate mode. It's not the best solution, but those
are very similar to some of the stands that come with some slate models. If
you can find one that's large enough for a serving platter, it should work
with your Gateway.

That's a good idea :-D I've been trying to think of some weird thing I could use and I think that would work well. Looks like I'll be taking a trip to a department store

Re: Looking for tablet stand...?

Why not just open it up while in the display is rotated. The screen
backwards.

Sometimes I just leave my Acer C300 in the tablet mode but open at a
slight angle and set it up on it's edge. When I'm watching a movie on it
I flip the screen around backwards to get the keyboard out of the way.

In addition to Terry's cool idea they also make stands to hold books up
at an angle for easier reading. They make light-weight plastic ones and
heavy duty hardwood ones. Look in your local book store that caters to
hard core readers. They also make cookbook holders which would be
available at your local upscale kitchen accessories store but they
usually have a clear plastic cover to hold the pages flat and keep you
from getting food on them.

I keep thinking that one of these days I will make a similar stand that
will make it easier for me to attach the port replicator and keep all the
cables out of the way but I will probably never get around to it.
