Tablet PC-----> desktop

I purchased NEC Tablet PC this week. Can I use it as a direct input device when I am at my desktop computer.

I nessence using it as a dumb terminal when I am at my desktop?

This is from a post from Mason Jensen from MS earlier -

Also please note that using a mouse or pen through the Remote Desktop does
not sample mouse / pen position with the same granularity you get when doing
it directly, so your signature might come out a bit blocky.

Remote desktop is a network app. I don't believe it works via USB
connections, but I have been wrong before.

It isn't possible to connect two computers to each other using a
standard USB cable. Here are two ways to make the connection:

1. Get a pair of USB Ethernet adapters and connect them just like
Ethernet adapters that mount inside a computer. Connecting two
computers directly, without a hub, switch, or router, requires a
specially wired crossover cable.

2. Get a USB-to-USB cable, with added circuitry, that can connect two
computers directly. Here are some sites for more information:
