Handwriting Recognizer Pack

Does anyone know how to configure the pack so that I can use UK English as the default handwriting recognition in all inputs, especially Microsoft One Note ??

I have managed to set it up in Windows Journal but it does not appear in the options in the region and language settings even though UK English is definitely installed

Any help is welcome

Moby,
for OneNote dictionary and handwriting recognition language selection see
Tools->SetLanguage.

Re: Handwriting Recognizer Pack

From Journal you should be able to change it from Tools->Options->"Other
Tab"->Choose a Recognizer Language.

Re: Handwriting Recognizer Pack

Interestingly, I have just installed One-Note on my tablet, and if I
use ink, it doesn't get recognised as handwriting, unless I select all
the ink and make it "English (U.S.)". It then gets converted to text.
Currently, my tablet thinks it is "Ebglish (New Zealand)" which is
correct

Any clues?

Re: Handwriting Recognizer Pack

Unfortuneatly the recognizers are set to their specific locals, so in order
for the recognizer to process the ink, you must have a recognizer installed
that conincides with the language you have set. E.g. English (U.S.) or
English (U.K.). You can also install the Tablet Reco Pack to get the
recognizers for all additional languages; however English (New Zealand) is
not supported at this time.

However, when I tried to repro your scenario in SP2 RC1, I was unable to, so
this may be fixed when SP2 is released.

Re: Handwriting Recognizer Pack

Hi David

Thanks for that. I'll wait for SP2 RC1 to arrive.

Cheers,
