| Re: Uninstall Tablet PC First, make sure you've got the latest drivers for your device and follow the directions from Wacom. Second, the Tablet PC Edition on Vista is integrated into the operating system, and on XP SP2 is a superset which runs in conjunction with the OS. You really do not want to attempt uninstalling either. -- Chris H. | Re: Uninstall Tablet PC If this is on Vista, you can uninstall the Tablet PC components safely by going into Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows Features On and Off -> Uncheck Tablet PC Optional Components. If it's XP Tablet PC Edition then you're S.O.L. unless you reinstall XP Pro. But I should mention that several Tablet PC developers have installed Wacom devices on both XP Tablet and Vista with no problems. I had a problem with a Wacom tablet on one of the Vista betas but have not tried since. I don't believe my problem had anything to do with the Tablet PC components at all. -- Josh Einstein (Tablet PC MVP) Einstein Technologies Tablet Enhancements for Outlook - Try it free: www.tabletoutlook.com "DanMat6288" <DanMat6288@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0D8755BD-56DD-4E4E-8290-70E869FA7685@microsoft.com... > Is there any way to completely hide it? | Re: Uninstall Tablet PC Thanks anyway. I sent a question about it to the people at Wacom.com. I followed your instructions on how to take off the Tablet PC anyway, mostly because it was just annoying for me. [shrug] Hey, that's just the way I am. Still don't know why my Wacom tablet driver's not installing, but I'll call my question answered anyway. | Re: Uninstall Tablet PC What model is the laptop? Most commonly used are either an Alps or Synaptics touchpad, so you could either check any driver disk that came with the unit, or just download directly from the manufacturers site if you can determine which it is. Is the touchpad showing up in device manager?
