| Lost Buttons on Taskbar I am perplexed. When I minimize programs on my PC (XP Tablet) the program seems to disappear. There is no hint of it on the Taskbar. It is still running - if I look at TaskManager I see it and can switch back to it. When the program is running in a window there is no button on the taskbar either. Where did it go and how do I get it back? I've tried may of the right-click options on the taskbar, but nothing is working. Help! Seth Davis |

| Re: Lost Buttons on Taskbar I'm having the same problem beginning a couple of days ago. It affects all programs, and there does not seem to be a handy fix. In particular, the"Show Desktop / Show Open Windows" toggle on the Quick Launch toolbar doesn't fix it. At the same time, the toolbar divider closest to the start button will no longer move, although any other toolbar dividers work fine. It's as though the display area for the open programs buttons has collapsed. "Gary A. | Re: Lost Buttons on Taskbar Same thing for me! Exactly the same. I just recovered from a blue screen before it happened to me. Now the task bar seems 'locked up.' Any new ideas about this problem? Crash info: "Error code 0000007f, parameter1 00000000, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000." if that makes a difference. ----- Jerry Ritter wrote: ----- I'm having the same problem beginning a couple of days ago. | Re: Lost Buttons on Taskbar This has just happened to me too. It's as if the taskbar component that has the buttons has been switched off in the same way the quick launch or language bar etc can be. But with no way of getting it back. | Re: Lost Buttons on Taskbar I have discovered a fix for this problem. Kelly's Korner's Taskbar Repair Tool has an option "Minimized Programs Missing". I ran this and my taskbar buttons came back. Free to use but, hey, give the guy a donation for such a great tool. All credit to Kelly! http://tinyurl.com/3egdk Julian -- juliangall ------------------------------------------------------------------------ juliangall's Profile: http://www.mobileminds.com/member.ph...fo&userid=2486 View this thread: http://www.mobileminds.com/showthrea...threadid=15242 |
