| Re: Toshiba 3500 If you right click the network places icon and go to properties (or alternatively go to control panel / network) you can get at the properties for the network. If you right click the icon for the wireless card, you should get an option to view available wireless networks. In there you'll find the properties pages you need to configure WEP. As far as reinstalling, your options are very limited. I have never managed to get the install routine from Toshiba to work via anything other than booting it from a local device. I haven't figured out a way to "start" it via any other option (i.e. across the network from someone else's drive, booting to a floppy that loads CD drivers on the 3500 and accessing it directly, etc). If you don't have a bootable drive, the restoration discs will do you no good. If you have an MSDN subscription and access to the media for the Tablet PC edition, you can work around the issue in several ways - I have a USB floppy that boots and loads dos drivers for my DVD, so was able to run setup manually that way, but without MSDN this would not have been an option. Not very encouraging news, I know. :( John On Sun, 28 Mar 2004 11:33:08 +0200, "George Sorosch" <sorosch@gmx.de> wrote: >Hallo > >some questions for the Toshiba 3500: > >Where/How can i give in the 4 WEP-keys for the WLan-card? Their trueimage program is fantastic - does on the fly images without having to boot into any special mode, and it gives you an "F11" option at boot to restore or create images without having any bootable media or drives handy other than the hard drive already there. My .02 worth. I used to use ghost but liked the no floppy or CD option acronis had. John |
