| Wireless Network Trying to setup my Compaq TC1000 on a wireless network that uses an apple airport extreme. Cannot get it to log in to network. It sees my wireless network, however the Wireless Lan port connection shows not connected. Ran all troubleshooters and still will not open. Reloaded drivers. Apple supports 802.11b and g. Help!!! |

On the 'show Summary' page, there will be ASCII and flex equivalent passwords for WEP log in. You need to use the Hex passuord, which is generated when you chose the ASCII password on mac. then go to your TPC => Control panel => Network connection and double click Wireless networkconnections. Choose advanced and enter the Wireless network tab. The apple network should be listed on the 5ottovr panel. Choose properties and enter the Hex password in the network key. Kwon Another thing might be MAC address filtering, if enabled on the access point. I've used several, but never the airport, so don't know if that's an option there or not, but something to keep in mind. :) John |
