tabletpc screen problems

Hey

My labtop screen is running. I am not sure what the problem is because I
haven't caused any physical damage to it and I haven't installed/downloaded
any new programs.

The screens runs (flickers) from the login screen. I can get it to stop
momentarily by pressing the sides of the screen or touching the screen itself
(it doubles as a tablet). Eventually the screen stops (usually whenever it
wants to), but it can start up again randomly.

I think that this might be a physical problem but I really dont know much
about computers

I'm not sure if this if helpful but I have

Windows XP Professional Tablet Editon
Version 5.1

If there's anybody that can help me fix this myself (or if I need the help
of a professional) that would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Re: tabletpc screen problems

Have you checked the manufacturer's Web site to see if there are updates
available?

You didn't say which Tablet you have, but it could be something as simple as
needed a new video driver which you should be able to find under "Downloads"
on the Web site. If it's a hardware problem, then contact tech support,
especially if it might still be under warranty.

Re: tabletpc screen problems

This is almost certainly a hardware problem. Probably a loose connection
somewhere.
