Tablet Input Panel missing

I bought my first tablet a week ago. The TIP was working until installed
Nortons 360 and implemented a host of updates. I cant identify the problem
but I can describe the symptoms:
- TIP button shows next to Windows Start button but when pressed does not
call up an input panel. There is a long silence.
- Tablet Pen behaves as a mouse when in both Tablet and PC mode with the
following exceptions:
+ when using Windows Journal (I havent got round to getting OneNote yet)
+ when using Windows Live Messenger
With these two programmes the pen behaves as it should. Handwriting is even
recognised in Windows Live Messenger.

I would love to be able to browse the internet and write in a search box
without touching the keyboard again - if anyone knows what the problem is I
would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you

Adam

Re: Tablet Input Panel missing

Adam,
If your TIP is not working, you won't be able to write in text boxes.
The TIP takes your writing and converts it into text on the fly. So, you
have to get your TIP working. Maybe call Norton as it sounds like their
software may have caused the problem. Or just uninstall it and see if it
works again.

Re: Tablet Input Panel missing

Or use a restore point before Norton was installed to be sure that all its
tentacles are gone.
