| Problem with recovery CD I have Gateway CX210X tablet PC. My recovery CD does not work. Actually it works in my friend's laptop, but not in mine. So I have "Windows XP Tablet PC Edition KEY" but I don't have Installation CD. How can I get the Windows XP tablet PC edition CD? I hope you understand my question. |

| Re: Problem with recovery CD You cannot install just XPSP2 and get Tablet. This is often misunderstood. There is a Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 that includes SP2. It's only available from OEMs. If Gateway is refusing to send you a copy, then ask to speak to a supervisor. If you haven't already checked, read the directions that should have come with the Tablet or look at the "READ ME" file on the computer. There are directions on how to create the CD from the files included on the computer. -- Terri Stratton Microsoft Featured Community http://thetabletpc.net Forums - http://forums.mobilepcworld.net Microsoft Windows MVP- Tablet PC "Christi" <Christi@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A3E1EF14-CC6E-4007-A631-CDEEC55163EB@microsoft.com... >I am having the same problem but with a a Gateway M275. | RE: Problem with recovery CD Christi, you are the fist person I've seen who has a M275 like me. Have you ever had a problem with your pen not being recognized on the screen. It did work for the first year I had it, but after that, no more. If you know of any help to getting my pen to work please help me. Thanks "Christi" wrote: > I am having the same problem but with a a Gateway M275. As far as I can tell > there is no such thing as a xp tablet cd. | RE: Problem with recovery CD I have a somewhat similar problem. I've got my daughter's HP tc4200 that needs to have the os (MS Win XP Tablet PC) reinstalled due to massive virus takeover problems. The recovery disk is a DVD, but all I have is the external USB CD player. I was able to create an install CD from the recovery disk, but when I try to reinstall XP Tablet, the product key (on the back of the laptop) is not recognized as valid. Help?
