Can anyone tell me where to purchase the Acer TravelMate C302XMi-G Tablet PC

I have been watching for it, and a couple of places have prices and a
"ship in 1-2 weeks" availability (that hasn't changed in 2 weeks).

Where are you?
These machines are already shipping in the UK - took delivery of mine last week (seriously cool machine)

I checked every reseller that Acer lists and could not find a single one
that has this one in stock, almost all of them had the C301XCi. Same with a
Google search.

I spoke to Acer resellers and all said that it will not be available for
another two weeks. One merchant said they are taking orders but I should
not expect fulfillment for at least four weeks. So I guess I will sit back
see how much I can learn until it is released. I would like to hear from
European users that have the system regarding their experience. I am
currently leaning towards the Acer C302 but the Gateway 275XL is on my short
list as well. I have actually spent some time with it, and was pleased but
I like the additional features of the Acer 302.

I wouldn't call that "Found in US". Lots of places will take your
money and promise shipment in the future.

I don't much care for their site - no info without registering.

What did you pay? Are you sure they aren't charging your credit card
until it ships?

How do the screens of the acer and the gateway compare? Have you been able
to see both and compare because they both look very similar on paper? I have
been able to play with the gateway 275 at the store but felt the 14"
1024x768 display was tough to read 1 pixel ink on. I was having a problem
with the curved ink lines shimmering or shaking on me. I will be curious to
hear if the acer's 302 screen is as good as the new 111s in regards to
brightness, angle of viewing, and glare (JMHO though).

FWIW I ordered a Gateway M275XL last Thursday evening, which shipped today from TN. It's not an Acer, but I think it's comprable. The shipment should arrive this Friday.

The people at www.tabletsource.com have some great deals
on tablet pc's and they told me that if they don't have
the model you want on their site they will do their best
to get it for you. Also, shipping is free...

In short. The 302 has a higher speed CPU, More Ram and a larger HD, Also
Bluetooth and Wifi g instead of Wifi b (Much faster)

Hi "Wrighty",

I have a problem: I am sitting in spain with a Spanish XP professional Tablet PC operation system for my brand new ACER C302 XMi tablet PC. Since I do not speak Spanish, I am completely lost. Acer Spain and Acer US do not seem to be willing to help me. The only alternative, I have is portugese, which doesn´t help either.

Could you provide me with a copy of your recovery CDs in (US or UK) english?
