| Re: Toshiba 3500 freez on right mouse click in My Computer Sorry Chris, I am finding many similar and exact problems like this right click on drive icons reeze. It seem from the examination of the threads that it might have something to do with a recent security update. As I did one this morning myself. I have found really no corrolation with systems other than XP and, what I would consider, minor variations of the problem. i.e. I can access drives right click menu someone else can't access folders right click menus properties. My system has sent multiple reports to MS with the error reporting feature. It seems a minor annoyance but a global issue. Thanks for yourtime let me know if you find anything out And I'll check back from time to time. greggebhardt1@comcast.net |

| I had the same problem so I re-imaged my machine with the Toshiba restore DVD, installed all of the updates, installed office 2k3 and updates, and then noticed that the problem still existed. I couldn't find any info on Microsoft's site and it seems like the other XP computers in our office aren't affected. They are also up to date but they are desktops -- not laptops or tablets. |
