New Cross Pen

I saw this in a PC mag advertisement for Tablet pens
Looks nice as I do not care for the feel of my TC1100 pen. Seems to have an
eraser feature built in also.

Re: New Cross Pen

Tablet PC MVP Terri Stratton has had info on her web site -
http://thetabletpc.net - since CES (or before) where you can see some
details, and also here: http://www.cross.com/penabled_promo.asp They do
look mighty nice, especially with the eraser end. 8-)

Re: New Cross Pen

The pens feel and work very well. It's a world of difference from any of
the pens that come with the Tablets.

Both models have erasers. One has a cap with pocket clip and the other has
the clip right on the pen. Nice for those who tend to lose pen tops.

Terri,

Never enough gadgets and gizmos for Tablets :)

Now when Mount Blanc has a Tablet pen that will be something.

QUERY Re: New Cross Pen

I notice the promo page, http://www.cross.com/penabled_promo.asp, refers
specifically to the HP TC1100. Does anybody know if it is therefore not
compatible with the older TC1000? I was hoping the Cross pen might provide a
solution to the glitchy TC1000 pens.

QUERY Re: New Cross Pen

Does a TPC pen exist that also includes ink and mech pencil?

Re: QUERY Re: New Cross Pen

Hi, Al,

The older TC1000 uses a different technology (Fine Point). The pen uses
batteries not necessary in Wacom pens. Therefore, no, the new Cross Pen
will not work with the TC1000.

Re: QUERY Re: New Cross Pen

It will not work on the TC1000 ( I have a TC1000) as the TC1000 is powered.

Not at this time, Dan. The Tablet PC technology isn't the same as that with
a Pocket PC for example.
