| Backup files does not backup .EXEs Vista files backup does not backup .EXE files (and other file types). This is a documented "feature". Does anybody understand the rationale behind this and how to come up with a usable backup scheme. My problem is that many of the files I want to protect with backup are .exe files (e.g. tool downloads, .exes I create) and are not suitable for an image backup. |

| RE: Backup files does not backup .EXEs I just posted a workaround. May not work for everyone though. rename .exe to .txt and the backup and restore works fine. after a restore rename it back to .exe "Peter Meinl" wrote: [color=blue] > Vista files backup does not backup .EXE files (and other file types).
