Question: What is your favorite Windows Vista feature, and why?

There are many posts asking for help with problems. This one just asks a single question:
What is your favorite Windows Vista feature, and why?

It would help me greatly if people would respond, so that I can learn more about Vista,
aside from what I have read on web pages. Many in this group have been using Windows
Vista for quite some time, and they would be able cite which new PRACTICAL (aside from
visual things like AERO) Vista features are worth having...

Windows Mail. It's finally useable as a Usenet newsgroup client. They
finally fixed the brain-dead "always top post" bug, so now it's an option.

The speed and accessibility of Search. It is everywhere and it is fast.

My least favourite. Hate bottom posting :-) and no hotmail support.

On usenet, you can always tell a Windows Outlook Express user - they are the
ones top posting.

RE: Question: What is your favorite Windows Vista feature, and why?

1 - GPT (over 2TB) drives
2 - 64-bit support (despite driver problems)

Least favorite:
1 - Lack of Boot & System partition support in GPT drives
2 - Loss of manual "Search" control in WMP11

RE: Question: What is your favorite Windows Vista feature, and why?

My Favs are:
1: The Search/RUN line on the bottom of the start menu,
2: READY BOOST, Its like instant Ram
3: User Control. Yeah it gets annoying but you can stop alot of stuff from
loading cause of it. Its smart and protective. I like it.
4: x64=FAST as HELL, if you can....Use it, the driver probs yeah are
annoying, but for me arent and issue
5: IE7+ alot of people dont like it but I think for once its hit its
target......Mozillia with its panst down...hehe

As do I. There are many of us Outlook Express (and now Windows Mail) users
who don't top post.

The fact that you can format the disk it's on and re-install Windows XP and
get on with running your life instead of running your computer.

Not all of us. Of course, the "brain dead" bottom posting is just as bad. a
150 line missive that gets a reply of "I agree" at the bottom is equally as
bad as top posting a lengthy reply.

Appropriate quoting, that's what we need.

My point was that most top posters are running OE, not that all OE users are
top posters. OE always wants to top post, you have to manually not top
post on every message - unless I've missed something in OE. Windows Mail
fixes this.

Well, to be fair, XP has that feature also. You can format the disk that
XP is on and install Vista and *really* get on with your life!
