Problem Activating Vista Volume license copy

I just downloaded and installed Windows Vista from licensing.microsoft.com
and when I activate I get an error "Windows Activation Error: A problem
occurred when Windows tried to activate. Error Code 0x8007232B. For a
possible resolution, click More Information. Contact your system
administrator or technical support department for assistance.

DNS name does not exist is the error when clicking on More Information.
This computer can get out to the internet via DHCP and I turned off the
Windows Firewall.

Mike

You have to have a valid PID from your volume licensing .. by default VL
Vista is the business version that comes with a pre-loaded PID .. you will
need to get with your purchasing people to get your Volume Licence MAK (
multiple access key ) and then change the product key and use that to
activate.

Re: Problem Activating Vista Volume license copy

Thanks to both Ricks. I found a link to request a Multiple Activation Key so
I'll just reinstall it again.

Re: Problem Activating Vista Volume license copy

Mike: Would you mind posting that link on here everyone. I'm having the
same problem, but haven't discovered that "special link" from Microsoft.

Thanks,
Jack

Re: Problem Activating Vista Volume license copy

On the main licensing page after you log in click on Volume License Keys then
click on "Request a Multiple Activation Key for Windows Vista".
