| Regional settings doesn't work on RTM After installing Vista RTM I've stumble over that all internet sites are opened with local regional settings. For example instead of google.com I got google.<my_region> In control panel->"Region and Languages options" my sets are "English/Unites States" except Administrative tab where local language to the non-Unicode programs is set and local input languate in the keyboard tab. Where and what I need to set to get the default US region settins for IE |

| Re: Regional settings doesn't work on RTM I can't even get Google.com if I want, it reverts to Google.co.uk(I live in the UK)and that happens in XP as well "Michael Nemtsev" <nemtsev@msn.com> wrote in message news:1799a79b3c16728c8deab1f608838@msnews.microsof t.com... > After installing Vista RTM I've stumble over that all internet sites are > opened with local regional settings. > For example instead of google.com I got google.<my_region> > > In control panel->"Region and Languages options" my sets are > "English/Unites States" except Administrative tab where local language to > the non-Unicode programs is set and local input languate in the keyboard > tab. > > Where and what I need to set to get the default US region settins for IE > > |

Google checks your domain IP range and serves you a page based on your IPs physical location, in your case Russia. For me, I get the Canadian version. However, the actual domain is still from one of the four main IPs for Google.com in the US. If I used dial-up and connected to VoxNet in Russia, I too would get an RU page even though my location is Canada. > Where and what I need to set to get the default US region settins > for IE You already have it set correctly, and IE7 is working properly. |

| Re: Regional settings doesn't work on RTM Use 'Preferences' in Google to chose the displayed language and your search language(s) and save them. They'll stay until you clear you 'Temp' folder.
