| Re: When Windows Vista will be in the retail stores? 3. My Windows XP Media Center Edition came bundled with my Gateway computer that was purchased in July of this year. Do you know if operating systems that came bundled like that in a computer will allow the upgrade to Windows Vista be considered "upgrade" and the program will cost me an upgrade price? Or will it be considered full price? 4. Josh, what is "SKU? "Octavio" <octavioven@msn.com> wrote in message news:ue2BXPyDHHA.572@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > 1. | Re: When Windows Vista will be in the retail stores? Yes, If XP, Win2000, etc. (see MS Vista site) But, apparently, you will have to keep your current Windows install, and install from there (either upgrade your current install (bad idea) or clean install to separate partition, and only x86 to x86 and x64 to x64. | Re: When Windows Vista will be in the retail stores? There is no "upgrade penalty" when upgrading to Windows Vista. It does not upgrade as prior Windows versions did, so there is no reason to tell folks not to upgrade. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] rgharper******.com * NEW! Catch my blog ...
