Wow. A real question.

Yes, I am triple booting along with Ubuntu. Well, actually I use DOS also,
so I have 4 operating systems at my boot menu.

Re: Mandriva tribble boot with Vista and XP

make at least three partitions ( one for xp, one for vista, one for Linux )
first install Xp, then Vista, then your Linux -

by the time Linux asks you about the Loader : install the Linuxloader (lilo
or grub) to the MBr of the Harddisk

You should then be able to boot all three systems.

Tested with
Novell Enterprise Desktop 10, Suse Linux 10.2 Beta, Mandriva 2007 and
SimpleMEPIS 6.

all without any issue working fine.

have not tried, but I would recommend install XP on one partition, then
install Vista on another partition, then install Mandriva using either
lilo or grub as your boot manager. Let us know how it goes.

Is that "tribble" as in the original Star Trek episode titled, "The Trouble
with Tribbles? Or do you mean triple?

Re: Mandriva tribble boot with Vista and XP

At last someone identified my typo correctly.. lol

Scotty on that episode claimed to have transported the tribbles to the
klingon
spaceship.. they never said what happened after..

the klingons transported the tribbles back in time to earth 2006.. to
Redmond...
and inserted them into the Vista code....

THAT explains why Vista so slow and buggy... :-)

Re: Mandriva tribble boot with Vista and XP

yes triple booting works great as along as you install your Linux Os last
that way grub will find your vista bootloader

lol, yes I always wondered about the animal cruelty aspect of transporting
the tribbles to the Klingon ship. The tribbles should have eaten all the
bugs in Vista. They ate everything else.

partitions started to look like the alphabet.
