| Secure Desctop?? Or?? Hi. Someone posted how to disable that the desktop goes "gray" when user account control kicks in (secure desktop???) Have searched the group but can't find that post again. Would be nice if you could repost. -- Regards Kurt Heggelund |

| Re: Secure Desctop?? Or?? Hello, - Click start - Type: local security policy - Press enter - Click the triangle next to Local Policies in the left pane - Click Security Options in the left pane - Double-click "User Account Control: Switch to the secure desktop when prompting for elevation" in the right pane - Click Disabled - Click OK NOTE: Disabling this option reduces the security of your system because it may allow malicious applications to automagically "click" the Continue button in UAC prompts without your knowledge. -- - JB Windows Vista Support Faq http://www.jimmah.com/vista/ |
