Install Issues Vista Beta

Upon complete install, I find that I cannot connect to the internet using
windows IE 7 or Firefox. I know that my system is pinging out and recieving
back. No windows load, and though I show recieving packets I have no access
to the world wide web. I have learned that Microsoft does not support any
installation issues and would recommend anyone RUN from VISTA, they will not
support any questions and will not advise how to uninstall. They emailed me
asking me to try this product for them yet the have no customer service or
any thing that resembles immediate help. I am in a situation that I will
have to purchase a new tower this weekend or consider myself unemployed. I
will not purchase any more products from Microsoft or any company that Bill
Gates is connected with in any way. I will go to Mac for anything in the
future. If they think that I have the time to waste they are too self
assured that I will become dependant on them or their products. I am
reporting them to the FCC and my states consumer affairs division.

Re: Install Issues Vista Beta

They (Microsoft) do not just email you out of the blue asking you to try
Vista. You signed up somewhere to get this notification. Therefore, you
showed a previous interest in trying Vista.

If you had read the warnings on the download page you are clearly instructed
<**NOT**> to install Vista beta on a production machine. You also do
<**NOT**> install Vista on a machine where you can NOT afford to possibly
lose "everything".

Now, when you are done feeling sorry for yourself, ask some questions about
how you may be able to recover from "your" errors.

If you do not desire to ask questions, happy unemployment!

Re: Install Issues Vista Beta

Why Microsoft has created 2 classes of testers:
those using RC1 and limited number of those using RC2???
Does it make sense to you?
Why to bother RC1 if RC2 has already fixed some issues?
I hate Microsoft for playing politics like that!

RE: Install Issues Vista Beta

You should buy two towers to make doubly sure you are not unemployed.

Re: Install Issues Vista Beta

Well thank you for your wasted time. Now what is it again that you helped me
do? Nothing on here to help or resolve, if you want to pour salt in wombs
try your own. And for the record. Yes, I have been a customer of Microsoft
for a couple of decades now. They often email me and ask for my opinions and
to rate new software. Well the rating on Vista is horrible. Still they
should aide in install or unistall issues. Searching threads all day is not
timely nor does it qualify as customer service, nor satisfaction. Greed
drives many now days. The root of all evil. Thus explaining your ignorance
and smart mouth.

agreed, makes no sense to me at all. If known issues are present then there
should be more than a thread to rectify. Like finding a needle in a
haystack. The smart quip's flourish.

DO NOT USE VISTA:
Being able to assist you or give you a complete solution is very
hard without some information. Which build, x86, x64, upgrade or clean
installation and what type computer are needed to help with an answer. I've
been running Vista x86 and x64 from Beta 2 through RC2 (5744) without any
internet connection problems with NIC or wireless connections. There has
been a compatibility issue with Marvell-Yukon NIC drivers posted many times,
which using the XP drivers may cure.

This is a help group, not a chat room. He didn't ask for any help. He should
have posted his gripes elsewhere!

Do you know what a troll is? His post certainly fits the description of a
trolling post, one that just is there to gather responses at all costs.

This is not the place.
