| Nothing will install on new hard drive I installed vista Beta 2 on my system. No problems at all. I received RC 1 and upgraded the system no problems. My hard drive crashed so I got a new 80 gig Western Dig. hard drive. I first installed XP Pro with NTFS file. Now when I try to install the beta version on the new hard drive I get an error message stating "Your computer is not compatible and you can not install Vista. So I tried to install the upgrade without the beta version first. I get an error message stating "This comp. is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface standard" My computer is ACPI compliant. I did the Vista scan to see what it could find and the Vista scan says my computer is compliant and will run vista. I have tried numerous times but get the same errors. I have downloaded and installed all available updates. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you |
