Newest build?

I'm a bit confused with all the build numbers floating around. What is the
very latest build of Vista? are all the builds out there Vista Ultimate? I
have Ultimate build 5600. If there is a newer build where can I DL it?

Daniel:

Every Vista release (like 5600, 5728, 5744) contains all the
configurations (Home, Business, Ultimate, etc). Which you get depends on
the product key. All CPP keys are for Vista Ultimate.

The latest available build is RC2 (5744) available from

Limited time only!

Re: Newest build?

Tks....

I could've sworn that I was on that very same page about an hour ago and
when I tried DL again it was still build 5600. I assume the process for
installing 5744 is the same as was for 5600? Same option as before Upgrade or
clean install.

Thank for the link. I would've drove myself crazy looking for it.

Re: Newest build?

The link does not go to a download, but to the overall VISTA home page. From
there, the only download is 5600. What am I missing and how do I get to build
5744?? Have wasted couple hours looking for it.

Re: Newest build?

I am afraid the RC2 CPP (#5744) has been closed.
