Windows Sidebar Startup in Taskbar and Toolbar Menu

I closed sidebar and when I went to reopen it, I could not find it. Why
isn't it with the Toolbars in the Start Menu Properties? This seems
illogical.

Re: Windows Sidebar Startup in Taskbar and Toolbar Menu

SteveC,

It's a good question and one that bugs me too.

I sent a recommendation via Microsoft's Feedback tool. I would recommend
doing the same.

Re: Windows Sidebar Startup in Taskbar and Toolbar Menu

RC2 (5744) shows an icon for sidebar down in the lower right corner in what
I think is or was called the systray, where the time and volume is. 5728 had
it too and from my feeble memory, I think was also in RC1.

Yes, it is there, but when you close Sidebar, it goes away too.

Re: Windows Sidebar Startup in Taskbar and Toolbar Menu

Mine stays there, and if I want to use sidebar, which I kinda don't
like,(yet) I click on it and the sidebar comes back. Do you mean it goes
hidden or just goes away?
I don't know why it's not in toolbars

Re: Windows Sidebar Startup in Taskbar and Toolbar Menu

To choose whether to start Sidebar with windows go to the control panel and
choose Sidebar Properties. I'm not sure if you have to log out or restart
if the sidebar is totally closed though...

Re: Windows Sidebar Startup in Taskbar and Toolbar Menu

There should be an icon for it on the bottom right side of the toolbar.
