| Re: Nero 6 no longer works. I got Nero 6.6.1.4 installed on x86 5744. Sorry, I can't remember if I ran the installer as Admin or not. StartSmart and Express won't work, but full Nero Burning ROM will. (UAC on here). -- Jane, not plain ;) 64 bit enabled :) Batteries not included. | Re: Nero 6 no longer works. With some programs it does indeed make a difference. Under XP, a lot of programs expected the user to be running as an administrator, with admin priveleges. Bad/sloppy programming practice I'm afraid, as the vast majority of programs should not really need admin rights. It's these programs that Vista will catch out ;) -- Jane, not plain ;) 64 bit enabled :) Batteries not included. I ran it as "Adninistrator" but it still gives me error message "Nero Webengine has stopped working". Vista suggests I get the upgrade from Nero's site. I have 6.6.14. Oh well. I guess that's why this is RC2 and not Gold yet. |

When I reset this to default, the program installed. Go figure. |

| Re: Nero 6 no longer works. Glad you found out the reason. One thing though, avoid StartSmart and Express, they crash. Use the full Nero Burning ROM main program. -- Jane, not plain ;) 64 bit enabled :) Batteries not included.
