| Smartphone recognized, but won't sync When I connect my Cingular 8125 to my laptop using a USB cable, Vista recognizes that a device has been connected. I don't get the Mobile Device Center dialog asking how devices can connect. If I manually start the Mobile Device Center, the dialog indicates a device is connected, and has allow USB and allow other-Bluetooth checked. The Sync Center doesn't start automatically. If I manually start it, there is an unknown device showing under new Sync Partnerships. The new partnerships panel shows 2 devices, my smart phone and the storage card in it. Unfortunately Vista wants to sync to Windows Media Player as if this is an MP3 player, not a phone. Any ideas on how to force Vista to sync to Outlook? Bruce |
