| Quick Start Toolbar size - Order of Icons Hi all. I would like to know how to fix the size of the quick start toolbar, as I have to enlarge it every time I start windows. I would like it to have a fixed size if possible. Also, icons are organised by alphabetical order and I would like to change that, but every time I start up windows, they go back to alphabetical order. Please advise. Thanks. |

| Re: Quick Start Toolbar size - Order of Icons The easiest way I've found of making your quicklaunch settings "really permanent" is by using Free Launch Bar: http://www.freelaunchbar.com/. It was made for XP, but works fine here with Vista too. | Re: Quick Start Toolbar size - Order of Icons The toolbar layout settings are unusual in that they are read at login, held & modified in memory throughout a session, & only written at logoff. So the first thing to try is logging on, configuring Quick Launch, then logging off & back on. If they're not saved, check your event logs to see if any errors are being generated during logoff. -- Good Luck, Keith Microsoft MVP [Windows XP Shell/User] "Fergarbu" <Fergarbu@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F56AED18-9484-494E-BFD2-8589D22A9199@microsoft.com... > Hi all. | Re: Quick Start Toolbar size - Order of Icons Thanks Keith. I am not fluent in admin tools, and can not understand all the messages in the event viewer... I will keep on trying. Thanks again.
