| Re: VISTA restore complete PC backup It is an Acer Laptop and the USB-HD is directly connectet. I put a new HD in because the old crashed and then I installed Vista new and if I start Vista i can see and use the HD. | Re: VISTA restore complete PC backup I remember someone else saying they went into their BIOS settings and enabled "Legacy USB". When it gets to the point of searching for a backup & tells you it cannot find one, unplug the USB disk & plug it back in. In should find it. Don't know why, but I have seen this before & got round it in this way.
