| Major problems with vista demo Well for one. I have a 40 gig hard drive that I split into two about a year ago. I had XP pro on it till I recived the disc for Vista Ultamite beta version. I had problems upgrade it. So I re-formated my hard drive kept the hard drives split ( which it is 18.6 gig even split). Well the beta version expired and I had problems with getting rid of it. So I have the Business edition of Vista. Could not unistall the previous version and the business would not go onto the c: drive. Because it said there was not enough room . So I needed my computer, at the time I went ahead and loaded the new version on the 2nd part of the drive. Everthing went smothly on loading and it works just fine. Except that I still can not get rid of the previous version. I can't even re-format the hard drive. I need to get rid of the beta version because I only have 1 gig of hard drive left on the hard drive. What do I need to do to get rid of the beta version? |

| Re: Major problems with vista demo You need to boot form the Vista DVD and follow the directions to delete all partitions on your hard drive, then create a new partition, format it NTFS, and install Vista. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User ---------------------------------------------------------------------------Â*----- "BEH1230" wrote: Well for one. | Re: Major problems with vista demo If I remeber right, I have tried that when I installed the second vista. But it wouldn't let me do that. | Re: Major problems with vista demo Try Carey's advice again. It "does" work. Just read carefully so you know when and what to do. -- Regards, Richard Urban MVP Microsoft Windows Shell/User "BEH1230" <BEH1230@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:794443E3-8D26-49CA-8A6E-3682BCB7BFEB@microsoft.com... > > If I remeber right, I have tried that when I installed the second vista. > But > it wouldn't let me do that. > "Carey Frisch [MVP]" wrote: > >> You need to boot form the Vista DVD and follow the directions >> to delete all partitions on your hard drive, then create a new partition, >> format it NTFS, and install Vista. >> >> -- >> Carey Frisch >> Microsoft MVP >> Windows - Shell/User >> >> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------Â*----- >> >> "BEH1230" wrote: >> >> Well for one.
