| Windows defender error : Application failed to initialize: 0x80010005 and gadgets disappear I have been getting this error since I installed Vista Home Premium two months ago. Sometimes this pop-up is seen (most times) but sometimes it is not seen. I have applied all Defender updates from the Windows Update site. Also, it appears that my Vista gadgets do not show when this Defender pop-up is seen. Only when the Defender error is NOT seen at boot do I actually get to see my gadgets (weird). Any thoughts? Choose Windows Defender 3. Choose Automatic 4. Start the service. That's it. | Re: Vists'a defender won't initialize, error 0x800106ba. WHO NEEDS THIS CRAP??? WHY DON'T YOU GET "REAL" PROTETCION FROM PC TOOLS "SPYWARE DOCTOR"??? Do you think ANYTHING FREE is good? Nothign free is powerful, and so is WinDefender - it works somehow but it;s lame, as much as Win Firewall is lame comparing to real Norton Firewall. |
