Microsoft Vista class action suit...

http://www.itwire.com.au/content/view/11063/53/

I knew it was only a matter of time.

I quote:

The suit alleges the "Windows Vista Capable" stickers were deceptive and
that Bill Gates himself contributed to the deception by insisting on
television that PC users could upgrade to Windows Vista for less than
$100, when that only buys a copy of Vista Home Basic.

This is pathetic. Don't people have better things to do with their time?

Re: Microsoft Vista class action suit...

JP,
It isn't the individual, attorneys recognize deep pockets, and will actively
advertise for some "harmed" per son that doesn't read. There are litterally
hundreds.

I read the stuff and bought my HP with Vista Ultimate installed.

RE: Microsoft Vista class action suit...

Well...That is not true for me. I did get it for under $100.
Bought XPsp2- Home. for $89. With an upgrade coupon. Followed the
instructions on redeeming the coupon. And recieved a DVD 32-bit Vista Home
Premium for $91. including shipping.
Isn't that less than $100.?
