My aero 3d stopped working I also lost the option to preview the open tabs.
Instead of the 3d windows I just get a list of icons in the middle of screen.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Use the Personalize menu to reenable it. Windows Colors, select Open Classic
for more colors, select Aero. Look at the other Personalize menus for other
settings that might have changed.

I do not see a open classic for more colors. I just have a short list of
color schemes.

On my Personalization>Window Color and Appearance window I have
"Open classic appearacne properties for more color options.
It is in light blue and is clickable.

I used to have aero, 3d and the color selection.
Now I just have Vista Basic, Windows Standard, Windows Classic when I go to
personalization/ Window Color and Appearance; just like Mary.

Hi,

I had the same problem.
Click the start pearl and key services.
Click on service and make sure Desktop Windows Manager Services is set to
start 'automatic'. If it's not double click and make the necessary changes.
This worked for me. I have my aero back which made 3d possible.

i have the same issue with 3d flip as holly had below. i don't get the 3d
effects, just some basic screen in he middle, can someone help with this

I been trying to find all that for quiet a while and i have no success. I
tried search and that couldnt find it. Where is the start pearl etc etc.
